With over 10 years of experience in styling hair I developed a passion in learning how to properly care for natural hair. My goal is to build a team of stylist who are just as passionate about healthy hair care as me. My niche is silk pressing Afro-textured hair. The versatility in our hair is unmatched! My clients always leave my chair feeling amazing! My love for healthy hair is what inspired me to create the Silk Press Beauty Bar. I love empowering our black women and proudly, I get to do this through my passion for healthy hair care.

My love for hair began at 8 yrs old as I would always restyle my hair after my mom would put in all her hard work (& my tears lol) hot combing it out for church on Sundays. As a teenager I discovered I had talent in styling my relatives and friends hair. So I moved from my hometown Gary IN to South Bend IN to attend Michiana Beauty College. I received my license in 2009 and pursued a career in the hair business. During this time I decided to transition from relaxer to natural. It was a challenge however the benefits were worth it. I began to educate myself on how to care & maintain natural hair through silk presses & protective hairstyles. I mainly specialize in silk presses however I'm skilled in other protective styles such as traditional sew ins, crochet styles and twist outs. I enjoy seeing the reactions on clients once they see what their natural hair can look like. Thank you for allowing me to care for your hair.
